Job Description
Boeing Training and Professional Services is seeking an experienced, energetic and highly-motivated systems engineer to serve as the P-8 Test Director and be a member of the Test Engineering Team.  The position will be team facing but maintains open communication with the customer and other stakeholders to assure the best training solution will ultimately be delivered to the end user.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the customer proxy to the test team, specifically in day-to-day implementation decisions
- Perform the role of Product Owner in a Scaled Agile environment
- Work with developers and testers on the team to create appropriate and executable acceptance criteria
- Enhance team productivity via a test-first mentality and acceptance test driven development focus
- Assure the development team’s work effectively addressed program priorities while maintaining technical integrity
- Attend product management meetings, planning, and requirements management
- Participate in team and system demonstrations
- Monitor schedule/cost performance as EVM Status Focal over government contracts.
- Create schedules for execution of test procedures within budgetary constraints
- Lead Test Planning Working Groups
- Prepare and lead Test Readiness Reviews
- Prepare test reports
- Site lead for most large test events
- Proposal support

Basic Qualifications (Requirements):

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Assets (Preferred):

  • Experienced in leading Engineering Test teams and associated Engineering Test activities
  • Experienced with the DOORS, Windchill, Sherlock, Clear Case, Clear Quest and VersionOne are all encouraged
  • Experienced in developing Test Plans, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), maintaining Test Logs, and creating / delivering briefings
  • Experienced in fixed-wing, rotorcraft and aircraft maintenance training platforms
  • Experienced as an aircrew member in either fixed-wing, rotorcraft or aircraft maintenance operations
  • Experienced as a simulator Instructor in either fixed-wing, rotorcraft or aircraft maintenance platforms
  • Experienced with military customers
  • Experienced with international customers

Position may require up to 25% travel.  Occasional domestic or international travel may be required.  Off shift and weekend work may also be occasionally required to meet contractual milestones, objectives and delivery schedules.

Typical Education/Experience:
Level 4:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
