Job Description
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity to join the Supplier Management team in St. Louis as a Procurement Agent

This team procures goods and services in support of all Boeing defense products and offers a unique opportunity to support and enable operations across many areas of Boeing.

The procurement agent will execute and manage contracts for a variety of products that range in value and complexity. Responsibilities include participating in negotiations of supplier cost & pricing data, contract terms and conditions and preparing contractual documents and binding agreements. This also includes managing supplier performance to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and other key support to programs. In addition, the team will be responsible for driving Partnering for Success activities and for cultivating and maintaining the supplier relationship.

Some other day to day responsibilities include:
• Performs continuous review and analysis of demand and supply.
• Prepares and executes proprietary information agreements.
• Supports sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements.
• Communicates performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance.

The candidate must possess strong business acumen, communication and problem solving skills. Proactive engagement with various disciplines and program stakeholders is required.

Basic Qualifications (Requirements):
- A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a focus in Supply Chain, Business or other related studies.
- Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience
- Basic proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
- Communication skills and customer focus are critical to be successful in the role.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience interacting with suppliers, conducting supply chain management activities, negotiating contracts and data analytics familiarity.
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment is highly desired.
- Experience or coursework in Supply Chain or Supplier Management
- Experience working with government contracts.
- Experience implementing process and/or strategy improvements and an applied understanding of Lean practices.
- Ability to be self-directed in work and/or previous experience in a self-directed role.

Typical Education / Experience:
Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
