Job Description

Training & Professional Services has an exciting opportunity for a Product and Data Management Engineer. The Project and Data Management Engineer will support the development and production of training devices for multiple platforms such as the F-15, Apache, P-8 and T-X. The Project and Data Management Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with electrical and mechanical engineering teams in the development, analysis, management and compliance verification of process and product baselines of complex products.

The Project and Data Management Engineer will plan, coordinate and conduct product and subsystem level technical design reviews; contribute to the development and implementation of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes and tools; define and allocate Configuration and Data Management requirements for product hardware and engineering design data systems throughout the product lifecycle. Additional efforts include coordinating the integration of product elements and analyzing & resolving issues with engineering product structure.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)

  • Five or more years of experience in product development.
  • Three or more years of experience in configuration management.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or Technical Field

Desired Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Experience developing, reviewing and/or interpreting electrical and mechanical assembly drawings.
  • Working knowledge of ASME Y14.100 (Engineering Drawing Practices).
  • Experience working with CMPro.
  • Experience supporting configuration management tools and processes.

Typical Education and Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
