This position is contingent on contract award.
 
The Boeing Company is seeking a Product Review Engineer for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 
 
This is a Long Term Assignment to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for up to three years. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided.
This position will provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems from detail parts to the build of major assemblies that are consistent with Program objectives. This position will require the ability to transfer that information to the supplier and to the Engineering teams (IPT/PST) in St. Louis, MO. This statement of work involves having the technical skills and knowledge of how assemblies are built, along with knowledge of production and design methodologies/concepts.

You will be performing Material Review Board (MRB) engineering dispositions. You will have the opportunity to use innovative approaches and unique applications to address complex nonconforming conditions and to detect deviations. You will be working on and implementing product and process improvements.
 

The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities: 

  • Applies knowledge of Boeing design principles to assess and resolve product/process issues through the product lifecycle.
  • Analyzes, conducts root cause analysis and develops dispositions for design non-conformances.
  • Applies engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and designs interim and final engineering solutions.
  • Identifies documents, analyzes reported problems and communicates deviations that could impact design intent and safety; recommends and manages resolution.
  • Develops and implements product/process improvements. Supports Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participates in design reviews. Represents the engineering community in the build through post production environment.
  • Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards. Develops customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Participates in on-site disabled product repair teams and accident investigation or support team.
  • Analyzes damage repair or structural modification to determine appropriate jacking and shoring, prevent collateral damage and assure a safe work environment.
  • Designs interim structural repairs and conducts static strength analysis.
  • Develops non-destructive test procedures, tools and standards. Conducts simple static strength analysis.

Qualifications
Employment is contingent on the candidate’s ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country.
 
Because the candidate may be placed on an international assignment, the offer is contingent upon the candidate’s ability to obtain clearances from International Health Services and the receipt of a visa/work permit to the country in which he or she will be assigned. These clearances are also contingencies for any family members who may be relocating with the candidate.
 
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 
 
Required Skills:
  • 3+ years of Material Review Board (MRB) experience;
  • 3+ years of experience as an engineer;
  • Experience with aircraft structures and systems;
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country;
  • Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable. 
Desired Skills:
  • ABET accredited Engineering degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering;
  • Current experience with F-15 aircraft assembly;
  • Experience supporting fixed wing fighter production;
  • Experience with Unigraphics;
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering blueprints;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office;
  • Experience with MES/HMS.  
Education / Typical Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
