Job Description

Boeing Research and Technology (BR&T) is currently seeking an experienced NC programmer of structural aircraft metallic components to join our metallic materials and processes technology team in St. Louis, MO. This is a Level 4 position. 

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in 5-axis NC programming using both Catia and NX software programs.  Additionally, we are seeking an expert user of Vericut software for NC program simulation and verification.  Our ideal candidate will also have NC programming experience machining a variety of metals including titanium and aluminum, along with experience implementing NC programs into full scale production.
 
Bonus skill sets include experience programming mill-turn machines as well as building post processors.

The successful candidate will work closely with leaders in the field, customers, and Boeing's global network of research partners.  There will be interaction with all Boeing business units (Commercial and Defense, Space & Security), functions (Product Development, Phantom Works, Engineering, Production, etc.) and sites (Puget Sound, Portland, St. Louis, etc.) as well as engagement with universities, research institutions, external suppliers and even government entities (Air Force, Navy, NASA, DoE, etc.).

Qualifications

Typical Education/Experience

AA degree in related discipline and typically 6 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • More than 5 years of experience in NC programming
  • More than 5 years of experience working with Catia V4 or Catia V5
  • More than 3 years of experience using Vericut software
  • The ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (Post-start)

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience NC programming using Siemens NX software (strongly preferred)
  • Experience machining metallic aerospace materials such as titanium and aluminum
  • Experience working with MS products such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel
