Tapestry Solutions Boeing Global Services BGS is seeking a Software Engineer in St. Louis, MO.
In this role you will work on all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, and automated testing within an Agile and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery model. In this role, you will join a dynamic team that is singularly focused on providing world class solutions to our customers in an exciting, collaborative, and inclusive environment. Position Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug mission critical software source code using modern software development languages and tools, such as C#, .NET and C++
- Troubleshoot interactions between modules written in C++, C#, and .NET.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, working within broadly defined parameters
- Use Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket/Git to manage work and collaborate with your teams
- Support creation and updating of all relevant documentation and specifications for design, development and testing
- Identify potential roadblocks and develop around them
- Plan and estimate development tasks and work to improve performance metrics
- Develop maintainable code that matches specification
- Develop automated tests leveraging a continuous integration process
- Own delivery of small parts of a system or application
- Work closely with other engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development
- Build software solutions where the solution is not always well defined but always considers the customer first
This position is Hybrid, candidate expected to be 50% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite part time at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Experience with software engineering
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with C#/C++/.NET object-oriented programming
- Experience with Visual Studio IDE
- Familiarity with basic web technologies including HTML, CSS, XML, REST, JSON, SOAP, and WSD
- Knowledge of a version control system (e.g., Git)
- Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies
- Familiarity with multiple operating systems (Mac OSX, Windows, LINUX, etc.)
- Familiarity with at least one Relational Database Management System (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.)
- Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint)
- Solid understanding of software development process fundamentals
- Experience with SAFe methodologies and/or other Agile frameworks
- Strong, self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques.
- Ability to complete tasking independently with minimal direct supervision
Typical Education & Experience:
Mid Level 3 - Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master and 3 years. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Experienced Level 4 - Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master and 7 years. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range:
Experienced Level 3 – $95,000 - $108,000
Experienced Level 4 – $125,000 - $138,000
