Job Description

Overview:

  • Boeing Defense, Space and Security Vehicle Management System (VMS) and Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C) teams are seeking motivated individuals to perform System Engineering Technician tasks in support of a wide range of programs in St. Louis / St. Charles, Missouri.
  • These programs include tactical aircraft, missiles and weapons, autonomous systems and other platforms. Come join the Boeing team and help us make today's dreams tomorrow's reality - The Future is Built Here!

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting engineers in defining requirements, executing trade studies, performing analyses, and capturing associated data and information
  • Tracing of requirements to design features and supporting requirements verification related activities and documentation
  • Preparing and maintaining configuration and interface data for baseline control, including tracking of change instruments and approvals
  • Organizing and holding peer reviews for team products in various stages of review
  • Supporting engineering proposals, statement of work (SOW) and contract deliverable development
  • Tracking, statusing and ensuring follow through on Action Items
  • Maintaining Risk Issue & Opportunity (RIO) data, working with engineers to document new RIOs and helping develop appropriate mitigation plans
  • Maintaining process documentation and data repositories, developing process improvements
  • Developing and maintaining team schedules, tracking performance to plan
  • Developing and analyzing performance metrics including "Champion" times
  • Organizing and updating Problem Reports, “Future Work” lists, Product Development plans, etc.
  • Supporting technical writing and obtaining approvals for flight test reports, software test reports and other contract deliverable items

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)

Assets:

  • Current Secret level or higher clearance highly desirable
  • Experience with Systems Engineering concepts, practices and tools is highly desirable

Typical Education / Experience:

Level 2:

AA degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
