Job Description

Training Systems which is a subprogram of Training and Professional Services and is a part of Boeing Global Services has an opening for an AH-64D/E Training Systems Flight Simulation Design Pilot – Subject Matter Expert (SME) to help complete the system design, integration, and test of various rotorcraft aircrew and maintenance-type trainers in support of the T&PS TRASYS Test (Rotorcraft Systems) program in Saint Louis, MO.


This is a mid-level to senior grade position and will require that the candidate already possess the proper security clearance pre hire. 


In order to be considered for this position, candidates must be a Pilot and/or Instructor Pilot and/or Maintenance Test Pilot in military attack rotary-wing platforms. 

Job Responsibilities:
  • The ideal successful candidate would have a good working knowledge of a US Army type flight schoolhouse environment and a background in the AH-64D/E Apache platform. 
  • The successful candidate will assist other members of the Test team and other disciplines in the performance of day-to-day operations in a fast-paced testing environment.
  • Occasional domestic or international travel may be required. 
  • Off shift and weekend work may also be occasionally required to meet contractual milestones, objectives and delivery schedules.

Typical Education/Experience:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Required Qualifications
  • Please state clearance and date granted clearly at the top of resume 
  • This position requires a Current Secret level U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
  • Experience developing Test Plans, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPS), maintaining Test Logs, and creating/ delivering briefings
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in weapon system integration
  • Tracked as a Pilot-in-Command, Instructor Pilot or Maintenance Test Pilot
  • Experience in leadership either formally or informally leading teams in a development environment
  • Basic knowledge and background in utility, heavy-lift or attack rotorcraft operations as a Pilot
  • Experience in attack rotorcraft operations as a Pilot, Maintenance Test Pilot or Instructor Pilot in the AH-64D/E aircraft.
  • Experience in the operational employment of the Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT) Instructor Operator Station (IOS).
