We are now looking for an experienced Facilities Planner, who can lead and/support activities across Asia and Australia, as well as providing strategic support to other international regions.

The responsibilities of this position include initiating and leading forecasting headcount and resultant space requirement efforts, preparing and maintaining master site facility plans, preparing and maintaining country strategies, maintaining the leased property portfolio, leading new property site selection and acquisition efforts, leading space management initiatives and regional or company-wide studies in support of proposals or plans that are shared with both internal/external organizations such as Global Real Estate Enterprise, and senior level management.

This position requires experience effectively developing, organizing and presenting proposals to stakeholders and sponsors by gaining insight into the customer’s organizations, as well as any cultural issues or impacts through close interaction with internal and external business partners, senior level management and government agencies to anticipate and mitigate potential conflict situations.

Job Description:
  • Facilitates and oversees enterprise-wide forecasting efforts and solicitation of data to determine office, lab, warehouse, manufacturing and space utilization in support of real property management.
  • Serves as prime consultant for the Company on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs and capabilities. Synthesizes key information and communicates effectively to appropriate audience.
  • Oversees multi-site space management initiatives. Uses Company database of demographic, headcount, use and occupancy data to evaluate Company-wide trends and develops strategies supporting asset utilization.
  • Initiates studies and leads teams to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, service delivery and asset utilization (e.g., lean office and manufacturing, new technology development, special requests, proposal support) and to integrate Company initiatives, new programs and business plans.
  • Analyzes Company business scenarios and strategies to develop proposals and plans. Initiates regional or Company-wide studies in support of proposals and plans. Performs site analysis, evaluates site capabilities, manufacturing processes and technology forecasts and incorporates these into asset use strategies. Coaches and trains less experienced personnel.
  • Leads or creates complex tactical plans from strategic initiatives. Leads the facilities organization in scenario-based planning that integrates Company initiatives, new programs and division business plans. Provides guidance to others.
  • Provides technical guidance and leadership for the development and execution for integrated project management plans for very large, or complex broad based projects involving multiple disciplines and those requiring development of new materials and processes that includes: defining goals and objectives, obtaining customer concurrence, determining resources, defining tasks and key milestones (statement of work), developing project plan, scheduling (including precedence serial and parallel task), defining budget requirements based on project plan, obtaining customer program approval, executing the project, tracking and reporting status to ensure project meets technical, budget and schedule requirements to support company and customer commitments.

Bachelor's degree and typically 15 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 13 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Basic Qualifications:
  1. Candidate must be eligible to work in Hong Kong, Singapore or Taiwan
  2. Able to travel across the Asia Pacific Region
  3. Language fluency (English and Mandarin)
  4. College degree in related fields (planning, real estate, engineering, architecture, project management, construction, facilities management, business, analytics, etc.)
  5. Well-rounded experience/background in space planning, finance/accounting, program/project management, or global property leasing and acquisitions principles, concepts, practices and standards
  6. Knowledge of MS suite of products (PowerPoint, Excel, Project)
  7. Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus
