BCA Customer Support seeks a Field Service 787 Intro Representative (FSR) to support newly delivered aircraft to our airline customers. Focus of the position is to provide on-site new aircraft model introduction representation & technical support to customers worldwide.

Position requires proven critical thinking and communication skills plus the ability to work independently as well as within a team. Requires the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of managements and customers.

Must be willing to work at any hour; any length of time; i.e. on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, as the job requires.

FSR will be sent on multiple / continuous airplane introduction assignments ranging from 30-90 days and based in Tokyo between assignments.

Recent experience in 787 Operations, Systems, Avionics, Engineering and/or Flight Test preferred. Prior customer support experience desired. Additional work experience on either 747-8/-400 or 737MAX/Next Gen or both are a plus for consideration but not required. Selected candidate will be part of the 787 EIS (Entry Into Service) teams.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Utilize multi-disciplined technical expertise & company knowledge to assist the customer to achieve and sustain a high level of 787 dispatch reliability and proficiency in the operation & maintenance of company products by investigating product problems, determining cause, and developing & implementing corrective action.
  • Understand customer expectations and assist the customer in interpreting and using support data & documents, provide technical On-the-Job training of aircraft systems and Boeing products and services.
  • Act as the on-site liaison between The Boeing Company & customer personnel of widely varying backgrounds.
  • Work unsupervised for extended periods of time, in a wide variety of cultural & economic environments.
  • Provide technical & operational product data to Boeing organizations.
  • Extensive travel is required; multiple / continuous short-term assignments.
This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in the relevant location. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll, and will commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable with the countries law. Employment is subject to the candidate's ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
  • Requires the ability to obtain a valid passport and be able to support local and international Travel of 100%. If clearances cannot be granted from the requisite international country, the result may be reassignment, reclassification or termination of employment.
  • Must be able to travel for repeated short-term assignments.
  • Must be willing to be on call 24x7 as required to support emergent airline customer requirements and the ability to accept back to back assignments both foreign and domestic.
  • Must be familiar with 787 airplane systems, aircraft ramp environment, airline operations and aircraft troubleshooting.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have technical or engineering degree or Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license (or equivalent license from respective regulatory agency such as JCAB Class 1, EASA B1/B2).
Preferred Requirements:
  • Recent experience in 787 Operations, Systems, Avionics, engineering and/or Flight Test preferred.
  • Prefer prior experience in a Customer Support organization.
  • 747-8/-400 and/or 737 MAX/NextGen knowledge are plus for consideration.
