Boeing Vancouver is seeking a Full Stack Developer reporting to the Program Manager, Medium to Heavy Lift Helicopters (MHLH) working out of the Vancouver, British Columbia office. The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for ensuring that customer requirements are fully translated into Information technology software and applications as defined in the statement of work (SOW).
The Full Stack Developer will have experience with both front end and back end technologies for web based products. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, testing and debugging software for specific applications throughout the solution life-cycle from concept, prototyping,
Proof-of-Concept to production quality software. This role works collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary agile team comprised of data scientists, product leads, developers and testers.

Designs specifications to develop or modify complex software programming applications
Designs specific applications or parts of applications
Codes and works with the testers to debug for specific applications using common development languages
Follows and verifies compliance of established technical standards for quality; ensures adherence to development standards and guidelines
Annotates and verifies programs and documents in accordance with company standards, policies and work processes
Consults and raises concerns with the project team
Conducts code review of the other developers on the team
Collaborates with Product Development team members to support the deployment of software into client applications, environment or operations
Works under minimal supervision and manages and schedules own time
Familiar with DevOps and Agile principles for way of working
Participates in daily/weekly Scrums with the Scrum Master to “team up” in providing program reporting status
Participates as a team member in stand ups, backlog grooming, planning and retrospectives

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Minimum 4+ years’ experience in Software Development
Minimum 1 year of experience in Java development
Must have experience with both front end and back end development
Experience with development, deployment and version control tools (e.g., Eclipse, Git, Jira, VersionOne)
Experience in writing technical software requirements and application outlines
Strong understanding of Agile, waterfall and hybrid practices and processes
Must have post-secondary education
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Must be willing and eligible to work on Canadian government and defense-related programs
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Software Engineering or Product Support experience
Data Science or/and Data Engineering experience
Knowledge and experience with Python
Knowledge and/or experience of the Aerospace Industry desirable
Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of
technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
