Boeing Richmond is seeking a Product Manager reporting to the Manager of Information Technology working out of the Richmond, BC office. The Product Manager will be working with the developer tools team looking at market forecasts and developing business cases for new product offerings.
Boeing Richmond houses a small but mighty product team combining software development expertise and a sharp focus on business impact with empathy for our customers’ day-to-day struggles to define a new way of working with airplane data. Together, we deliver the power of understanding to change the world above and on the ground.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the strategic product roadmap; develop and document product features as input to the development process
- Manage internal product stakeholders and achieve the required consensus and approvals to drive product development forward
- Communicate with customers to understand needs and pain points, and gather product feedback
- Look at market forecasts and develop business cases for new product offerings.
- Work directly with the software development team to define and implement new product features
- Work with sales and marketing to craft the product value story and create materials to communicate this story to the market
- Support the sales and marketing teams in communicating and demonstrating the product to customers as part of sales engagements and at conferences as part of product launch
- Work with the implementation, training, and support teams to ensure customers are efficiently on-boarded to the product and can use it successfully
- Champion a culture of quality, learning, trust, and collaboration
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years’ experience in software Product Management
- 3+ years’ experience communicating product strategy, capability, and value story to large groups, including both technical and business audiences, and external and internal stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience leading an integrated product team to develop and build out the product roadmap is required
- Must have post-secondary education in related field
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Domain knowledge in the aviation & aerospace industry is an asset
- STEM background is an asset
- Knowledge of API software
- Experience working within an agile development project management framework (e.g. SAFE, scrum, Kanban) is an asset
- Experience working with SaaS delivery and a cloud-based technology environment is an asset
- Experience with product marketing
- Experience working with a development community
Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelors) and 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Masters+3 years' related work experience, 10 years related work experience, etc.).
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
