We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to take a lead role applying the fast-growing sphere of data science to the challenges of aviation and aerospace. You will seek out and develop new areas of application with industry customers. You will steer projects from inception to close, working closely with our customers, developing understanding of their problems, priorities and business needs. And as a technical lead, you will assemble talented multi-functional teams to craft and launch leading-edge operational solutions around the world.

We want to hear from you if:
1. You are a technical leader – you are familiar and proficient with an array of analytic techniques; you will guide multi-functional teams through technical strategy decisions

Ph.D. in Operations Research, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical discipline, plus typically 4 years of relevant work experience.
Master’s Degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical discipline, plus typically 7 years relevant work experience.
- Demonstrable equivalent combination of education and experience delivering advanced analytics projects.
  • Confident communicator and enjoys working closely with customers
  • Positive coaching and mentoring skills
  • Critical-thinking skills
  • Project Management
  • Domain knowledge in the aviation & aerospace industry is an asset
- Expertise or specializations in three or more of the following areas:
  • Statistics & Data Mining
  • Forecasting & Time-series Analysis
  • Signal Analysis
  • Machine-learning or Artificial Intelligence
  • Simulation, Numerical Modeling
  • Mathematical Optimization
  • Visualization Techniques & Technology (e.g. Tableau, D3.js)
  • Databases & Data Management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, )
  • Programming (e.g., Java, Python, R)
  • Front-End Web Development & UX Design
  • Back-End Web Development
