Boeing Distribution Inc. Is seeking a Shipper Receiver reporting to the Regional Operational Manager, working out of the Vancouver, facility.
The Shipper Receiver completes initial verification for identification and damage on incoming/outgoing shipments. Processes and confirms receipt/shipping documentation for internal/external customers. Processes hazardous goods in accordance with DOT requirements. Validates Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for incoming/outgoing chemical shipments. Maintains inventory of shipping supplies.
This is a fulltime, day shift position and is Monday through Friday with a 40-hour week.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Position Responsibilities:
Escalates critical issues to the appropriate level and engages with the correct stakeholders.
Processes and confirms receipt/shipping documentation for internal/external customers.
Ability to gather, retain, and recall a variety of facts and data in written and/or verbal form for the achievement of work tasks and duties.
Processes hazardous goods in accordance with DOT requirements.
Validates Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for incoming/outgoing chemical shipments.
Monitors shipping/receiving discrepancies and develops solutions to mitigate errors.
Maintains effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, and/or cultures.
Uses appropriate methods to identify opportunities, implements solutions, and measures impact.
Ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.
Demonstrates a commitment to the mission and motivation to combine the team’s energy and expertise to achieve a common objective. Understands the dynamics of effective teamwork in order to attain higher levels of performance. Demonstrates ability to work as a member of a team.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Some experience in shipping/receiving, inventory control, overseeing resolution of incoming/outgoing shipment discrepancies
Microsoft office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with various courier companies
Knowledge of operating procedures for packaging and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, walking stackers, carts, dollies, box tapers)
Ability to stand for extended period of time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
SAP experience is preferred
Typical Education:
High School diploma or GED
Relocation:
This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
