Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking a Category Management Specialist to join the Contracts and Strategy team in Winnipeg, Canada. The Contracts and Strategy team is responsible for strategic sourcing, and contract management for production materials supporting all of Boeing’s commercial airplane platforms. This position is responsible for developing and implementing supply chain category strategies that integrate program, customer, and product strategies.

Develops detailed supply chain category/commodity plans and drives strategy near and long term within the category/commodity.
Leads statement of work development activities.
Ensures supply contracts align with category vision.
Leverages detailed knowledge of category and supply base for key projects and incorporates best practices and methodologies from sourcing and fabrication.
Identifies and monitors market trends that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing.
Supports solicitations, request for proposal analysis, and negotiations.
Drives category plan integration with internal stakeholders across the enterprise business units and functions.
Establishes relationships internally and within supply base.
Engages with enterprise stakeholders including business units and functions to ensure category vision is known and aligns with key activities such as, make-buy-transfer decisions and corporate initiatives.
Leads cross functional teams to identify and develop implementation plans for key high value projects.
Advises business unit functions helping to solve operational and business challenges around quality/delivery, long term agreements and negotiations.
Domestic and/or International Travel will be required as needed.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in Category management or procurement
Experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
Must be willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience leading strategic sourcing initiatives
Experience with PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis and presentations
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
This requisition is for a, locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
