Job Description

Boeing’s Supply Chain Group has an exciting new opportunity for a Procurement Agent to join our team. This position will be based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with suppliers to ensure issues are identified and resolved to closure in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners.
  • Work directly with supplier and operations to resolve emergent issues.
  • Maintain Boeing and supplier metrics collaboratively and ensure jointly reviewed.
  • Coordinates and documents internal and external customer requirements. Identifies sources of supply/demand variation.
  • Monitors schedules and adjusts inventory balances. Identifies problems and maintains priorities for work in process.
  • Communicates across functions to report risks and issues.
  • Gathers performance data to monitor supplier capability, capacity and business health.
  • Assists with monitoring and proactively identifying of supplier performance to contract. Leads and supports supplier performance reviews.
  • Participates in supplier performance reviews and cross functional improvement teams.
  • Participates in root cause analysis and development of improvement plans and monitors progress.
  • Maintains relationships and communications with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
  • The candidate should demonstrate strong business acumen, written and verbal communication skills as well as adept problem solving ability.
  • Proactive engagement with various disciplines and program stakeholders is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • A Bachelor's degree is required (strongly preferring a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Law, Accounting, or Finance).
  • Must hold or have the ability to hold a valid passport.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and teaming skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict and initiate action in order to achieve objectives.
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of and adherence to relevant ethics and business conduct guidelines.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • More than 5 years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain or Procurement practices and processes.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Project management experience or certification.
  • Experience working in SAP.

Typical Education / Experience:

Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
