Job Title: Versatile Technologist

Position Overview

The Boeing Company is seeking a technical support specialist to support F-15QA in Doha, Qatar. The position will support the organizations training programme in the Middle East, based in either Al-Udeid or Doha.

Job Description Summary (BAMYI4)

Provides technical leadership for the installation, configuration and relocation of network delivery systems. Guides and directs others in correcting anomalies in inventory. Oversees complex network systems activities. Evaluates maintenance procedures for effectiveness and develops new procedures as warranted. Provides guidance and expertise in the maintenance of network systems management documentation. Leads others as they monitor, inspect and/or review the work of external contractors and provides guidance on the quality assurance and/or quality control standards.

Position Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will perform the following duties:

  • Supporting F15QA Training Services Information Technology requirements
  • Analyzes computing requirements and configuration management procedures.
  • Leads a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities.
  • Leads activities to install, configure and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software and components.
  • Plans and coordinates highly complex software and hardware for end user functionality.
  • Evaluates complex system's production readiness and supportability.
  • Performs the restoration of complex computing service operations.
  • Performs complex system problem identification and resolution.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate with technical teams, executives, and project managers.
  • Analytical skills: Assist in optimizing IT delivery and support processes
  • Successfully manage incidents to quick resolution meeting expected SLAs
  • Facilitate multiple high priority issues at any given time
  • Familiarity with ITIL Service Management best practices
  • Security clearance is required

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Experience with Network or Systems Administration
  • 8140 DOD Certification (preferably IAT Level 2)
  • Experience working in Qatar
  • Experience working in foreign military sales contract
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • Experience working within an international program

Relocation assistance is nota negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Qatar. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable Qatari law. Employment is subject to the candidate's ability to satisfy all Qatari labor and immigration formalities.
