What is your role at Boeing?

I author technical communications, including service bulletins. These documents provide detailed instructions for inspecting, modifying, and repairing in-service airplanes and components, ensuring their continued airworthiness and safety.

How did you hear about our internships and why did you decide to apply?

The opportunity was widely covered in the news in Vietnam, generating a lot of excitement. Since then, I had been actively seeking an internship with Boeing. I was thrilled to be selected and it represents a significant milestone in my career aspirations.

What do you remember most about your first day at Boeing?

The warm welcome I received from everyone. Regardless of their role or position, colleagues were genuinely open and eager to share their experiences and offer assistance. This supportive atmosphere made it incredibly easy for me to acclimate to my new work environment and set a positive tone for my internship.

What has been your favorite experience at your internship so far?

The opportunity to work on real-world projects. This hands-on experience provided me with a deeper understanding of Boeing’s products and services. Additionally, being paired with mentors has been invaluable; they guide us through projects and offer insightful industry perspectives and career advice. The array of workshops, intern events, and training sessions also enhanced my technical skills and knowledge, making the overall experience highly enriching.

What makes the Boeing internship unique?

The opportunity to travel to the United States and work with the Boeing team in Seal Beach, California made this experience truly unique. Immersing myself in a different work culture and collaborating with international peers provided a new and valuable perspective. Learning from professionals around the world offers insights that go beyond the typical internship experience.

What advice do you have for students who are interested in interning with us?

Don’t limit yourself to a position that you think is within your comfort zone. Be open to exploring roles outside of your usual interests. An internship at Boeing is a valuable learning opportunity, and embracing diverse experiences can help you discover new interests and skills. Make the most of every opportunity to learn and grow, as you might find a passion or talent you hadn’t anticipated.
