About us

Boeing Defence Australia is shaping the future of aerospace and delivering some of the nation's most important programs for the Australian Defence Force.

Joining us is a chance to make your mark, working with a diverse team that is united in pushing the boundaries of imagination and excellence.

We currently employ more than 2,500 people across 14 sites in Australia and three international locations and have a range of opportunities available as we plan for future growth.

The opportunity

The LAND 4140 BLOS SATCOM program provides the Australian Defence Force (ADF) with beyond-line-of-sight communications capability through the provision of multi-orbit, transportable satellite communication terminals. This activity integrates with and extends the capability developed under the Currawong Project and is a critical program within Boeing's Battlespace Communications System (BCS) enterprise. We are seeking an outcomes-focused Program Manager to lead all elements of the LAND 4140 BLOS program. The Program Manager is a core member of the BCS leadership team, and the role is based in Brisbane.

  • Leading the development of program schedules and plans
  • Accountable for the program's technical, schedule, and financial performance
  • Contributing to BCS strategy development and execution
  • Managing stakeholder engagement with the LAND 4140 BLOS customer, Boeing business partners, suppliers, and end users
  • Developing and fostering inclusive, diverse, and high-performing teams

Experience/Qualifications

  • Demonstrable track record of strong project leadership, ideally for technically complex projects
  • Proven ability to manage project performance across technical, schedule, and financial outcomes in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Experience working with customers, suppliers, and delivery partners to achieve successful project outcomes
  • Strong leadership capability, with experience building and guiding high-performing multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.

Culture

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. Female applicants, people of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island descent and ex-defence personnel are encouraged to apply.

  • Flexible working options
  • Study assistance
  • Salary packaging
  • Employee Incentive Program
