Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Regional Director of Global Strategic Initiatives (level 5), based out of Seattle or Renton, WA to support strategy development and program execution for key markets.  This position reports within the BCA Marketing and Global Strategic Initiatives organization.

The person in this position:

  • Leads and oversees multiple complex, large-scale projects simultaneously with minimal guidance.

  • Manages project teams, resources, associated tasks, and daily operations utilizing program and project management best practices; directs / delegates to ensure performance to plan.

  • Oversees and monitors progress from initiation through completion to ensure schedule, budget, quality, and business objectives are met; helps to resolve issues and develops risk mitigation plans as needed.

  • Develops strategies to address highly complex problems and key regional sales opportunities; works with senior leadership and across the Boeing enterprise to develop, define and manage regional strategies.

  • Develops differentiated strategies, marketing communication strategies and messages.

  • Recommends and implements strategies, strategic alliances, and partnerships to achieve business objectives.

  • Develops and utilizes in-depth understanding of customer business, culture, regulatory requirements, and country needs to capture new opportunities and recommends areas of alignment and integration.

  • Develops and prioritizes business opportunities for appropriate level of internal investments and resources.

  • Monitors financial performance, budgets, and costs for strategic initiative programs and projects; holds other project leaders accountable to financial targets, budgets, and leads cost-reduction activities as needed.

  • Works across multiple business units (marketing & sales, customer support, strategy, engineering, product development, training departments, supply chain, Boeing Global Services, Boeing International, Boeing Engineering, Test & Technology) to capture opportunities, understand project requirements, gain commitments, optimize contributions, and achieve business objectives.

  • Creates, maintains, and advances stakeholder relationships to build trust and strong partnerships.

  • Develops and manages communication tools, metrics, and reports, including executive business strategy and initiative presentations, to support enhanced visibility and stakeholder awareness.

  • Leads formulation and recommendation of specific business objectives, strategies and plans.

  • Provides support and advice on commercial campaign strategies.

  • Drives collaboration, integration, and alignment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent work experience.

  • 12+ years of aviation industry experience with a focus on project/program management and company strategy development & execution.

  • 3+ years of experience working across different business units and disciplines to drive collaboration and results.

  • Be proficient using Microsoft Office Products (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  • Willing to work variable hours as needed to interact with customers and colleagues in other regions and time zones.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 35% of the time, domestic and international.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree is highly preferred.

  • Experience working with global markets, especially Southeast Asia.

  • Experience building enduring and effective relationships with C-suite, executives, senior management, and team leaders to achieve business goals (both internal and external to an organization).

  • Experience working with aviation-related government policies and/or regulatory agencies.

  • CAPM (Certified Associate of Project Management) or PMP Certification.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range:

Level 5 - $178,000 - $205,000
