  • Liaising with Defence customers to understand priorities, system safety concerns, and publication schedules.
  • Planning, coordinating, and monitoring personnel and resources to identify efficiencies and support continuous improvement.
  • Conducting quality and in-process reviews and validating technical and aircrew publications to ensure a high standard of quality.
  • Developing roadmaps to support the future growth and capability of the Technical Publications team.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience leading a small team, with accountability for team performance and project outcomes.
  • A disciplined approach to following processes, with a strong commitment to meeting responsibilities and achieving objectives.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage, inform, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
  • The ability to identify issues, assess information, and contribute to practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet Defence security requirements. Successful candidates must be willing to undergo the standard government vetting process (full life background check). BDA will sponsor and support this clearance.
