Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Procurement Manager to join our Secondary Structures Operations team in Everett, Washington.

The Procurement Manager will directly manage operations procurement agents in a team environment and have interfacing relationships with engineering, finance, quality and operations. You will also regularly interface with existing and potentially new suppliers. You will ensure your team established and maintains supply performance for approximately 30 secondary structures suppliers which produce sheet metal, machined parts and assemblies, and composites.

This role will lead all supplier management activities and keep the business operations running efficiently by leading their team. The ideal candidate will ensure all items and services are accurately acquired, so that projects and processes can proceed efficiently and optimally to drive the overall success of the company. They will simultaneously lead multiple supplier engagement activities while partnering with internal customers to ensure a One Boeing approach!

Our teams are currently hiring for a (Level M) Procurement Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages and integrates employee and mid-level manager activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation.
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 7+ years of experience in Fabrication, and/or Program Operations, Supply Chain Operations, Program and/or Fabrication Fulfillment
  • 7+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Supply Chain and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 7+ years of experience with industry ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or an equivalent such as SAP (System Applications and Product) 
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating executive presence with exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to influence senior leaders, present complex technical/organizational matters clearly, and lead high-stakes discussions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • 5+ years leading critical projects
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing industry
  • 5+ years of experience with Supply Chain, Supplier Management, and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 5 + years of experience with materials planning or inventory control process role in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with safety and quality processes
  • Aerospace or manufacturing experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk identification

Summary pay range (Level M) $177,650 - $218,425
