The Boeing Company is looking for an Estimating and Pricing Analyst (Associate or Experienced) to join our team in Fairfax, VA. As an Estimating & Pricing Specialist you will be directly involved with cost proposal development including analysis of statement of work requirements, selection of appropriate estimating methodologies, substantiation of estimates/pricing, ensuring estimating system compliance and acquiring appropriate reviews and approvals of submissions to various Government and Non-Government team members.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze request for proposal/quotation requirements, provide recommendations to develop executable proposal plans of action, identify risks/opportunities, and coordinate artifacts required to meet turning points and ensure compliant cost proposal responses
  • Coordinate and collaborate with proposal teams and cost element functional owners to develop appropriate basis of estimate and substantiation of costs estimates, proposals and other related business decision data
  • Provide fact-finding, negotiation and audit support of cost proposal artifacts and coordinate responses through proposal teams, as required
  • Provide Estimating & Pricing subject matter expertise of processes, tools and techniques to maintain compliance with estimating system requirements
  • Identify, assess and implement changes to processes, tools and techniques to simplify estimating and pricing methodologies and improve cost estimating accuracy
  • Partner with Program Management, Contracts, Rates Management, Financial Operations and Cost Policy analysts to ensure compliance with new or evolving requirements impacting cost proposals and estimating system
  • Support, prepare and brief executive-level presentations, as required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 1+ years of experience preparing time, cost and labor estimates
  • 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master's degree
  • 1+ years of experience with material estimating
  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering or a related field
  • Proven understanding of USG Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations
  • Experience with ProPricer and CostPoint
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a highly multifaceted and team with varied strength's environment with the ability to work across business units, functions and tailor communication to all skill levels within the organization
  • Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment and be highly adaptable to the needs generated by the day-to-day activities of management and the organization

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range:  

Associate (Level 2) $66,300 – $89,700                                              

Experienced (Level 3) $84,150 - $113,850
