An exciting opportunity has become available to join Boeing Poland sp. z o.o. as an Experienced Software Project Manager based in Gdańsk, Poland.

Boeing AvionX develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions. We have set our sights high – to design, develop, and manufacture the most technically advanced and reliable avionic components in the world. We are innovating and developing new products to address the future of the urban air mobility as well as our next generation of commercial, tactical, and trainer aircraft markets.       

Hiring details:

  • This requisition is for a locally hired position in Poland. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

  • This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Gdańsk office. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end software project delivery ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget

  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, system engineers, quality assurance, and stakeholders

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports

  • Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively

  • Facilitate effective communication between project teams and management

  • Ensure compliance with aviation industry standards and best practices for software projects

  • Drive continuous process improvement in project management methodologies

  • Support change management and project documentation activities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Software Project Manager or similar role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Demonstrated experience successfully delivering software projects on time and within budget

  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)

  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a detail-oriented approach

  • Proficiency in project management software/tools; knowledge of GitLab, Jira

  • PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant certification is a plus

  • Knowledge of aviation regulations and standards (e.g., DO-178C, ARP4754A) is an advantage

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum Master certification

  • Experience with risk management and quality assurance processes

  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills
