Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is committed to delivering airplanes and services that offer superior design, efficiency and value; airplanes that fly farther on less fuel, reduce airport noise and emissions, and provide passenger-preferred comfort while delivering superior strong operator performance.

Boeing Indonesia is currently hiring Engineering Interns who hold Indonesian citizenship and are studying either in Indonesia or abroad. The internship will be based in Jakarta. This program is designed for students aspiring to become future engineers in aerospace, aerodynamics, airplane performance, mechanical, electrical, civil, industrial, systems, software, or related fields.

Duration and rotation
•    Internship period: up to 3 months total.
•    Includes a 4-week rotation at Boeing Seal Beach, California (Boeing covers visa application and other reasonable expenses for this rotation).
•    Candidates must be based in (or relocate at their own expense to) the Jakarta area for the local portion of the internship.

Position Responsibilities:
•    Assist in developing airplane requirements, repairs, and modification specifications that inform designs and maintenance.
•    Participate in hardware and software design activities and support engineering analyses as assigned.
•    Support the preparation, creation, and timely delivery of technical documentation – maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, performance data, and release artifacts – under the guidance of a lead.
•    Help resolve structural and system issues to return aircraft to service and support maintenance program activities.
•    Develop and support in-house tools or scripts to increase engineering efficiency.
•    Collaborate with suppliers and airline operators on system integration, maintenance content, and customer-facing deliverables.
•    Participate in process and tool improvement projects to enhance team performance.
•    Receive mentorship, take initiative, and present internship outcomes to the engineering team and PT. Boeing Indonesia at the end of the program.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
•    Currently enrolled in an accredited university in engineering discipline (Aerospace/Astro, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Software, Industrial, Materials, Systems, or any other equivalent).
•    Proficiency in English (read, speak, write) 
•    Eligible to work in the country where the position is located

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
•    High Grade Point Average (GPA): 3.5+ / 4.0 or equivalent
•    Relevant Work Experience: Other Summer Internship Experiences
•    Leadership Experience: Involvement in leading others on a formal setting
•    Exposure to Engineering Research: Either Industry or Classroom research
•    Flexible and open mindset with an ability to perform in a dynamic international environment with a shifting work statement and priorities. A willingness and desire to take on new tasks that may be outside normal daily operations.
•    Ability to build and maintain relationships based on trust and mutual respect.

Other information
This requisition is for an international, locally hired position.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located (point of hire is Jakarta, Indonesia) and internship coverage support from Boeing is determined following to the respective point of hire as stated in this posting.
