Boeing Commercial Airplanes is excited to offer opportunities for a Facilities Storekeeper B to join our team in Portland, Oregon.

The Facilities Storekeeper B supports facility operations by managing receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking of parts, materials, and supplies. Working with material-handling equipment and inventory systems (e.g., Maximo), this role ensures accurate inventory control, timely fulfillment of customer requests, and proper disposition of damaged or obsolete items.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Review the work area or obtain assignments from lead/team leader/supervisor to determine tasks.

  • Operate typical shop and material-handling equipment (e.g., electric stacker/forklift, crane, pallet jack) to move parts, equipment, and materials.

  • Open shipping containers with appropriate tools and verify paperwork matches package contents; enter/receive items into information systems.

  • Verify and document discrepancies (wrong item, damage, color, quantity) and follow procedures for correction, rejection, or disposition.

  • Check all parts and materials for visible damage; route broken, worn, or obsolete items to the proper authority for disposition.

  • Relay availability and status of stock parts and materials to relevant stakeholders.

  • Use drawings, sketches, parts catalogs, conversion tables, and similar references to determine correct parts, part numbers, descriptions, and locations.

  • Use and update required information systems (e.g., Maximo, Struxure, SSPN) to perform, track, and communicate assigned tasks.

  • Order inventory and supplies (e.g., bearings, couplings, machine parts) daily via Maximo, maintaining assigned minimum/maximum levels.

  • Store material, equipment, and supplies appropriately in designated areas per local procedures and ensure proper handling and routing using required labels (e.g., transportation tags).

  • Issue and route supplies to craftspeople, maintenance/construction sites, warehouses, and customers using available transportation modes.

  • Assist customers in identifying, locating, and ordering material and equipment; follow up on requests and troubleshoot problems.

  • Perform and assist with cyclical and daily inventory activities such as assigning locations, usage reviews, cycle counts, and inventory rotations.

  • Coordinate with appropriate authorities to call attention to quantity errors, inaccurate nomenclature, and other inventory discrepancies.

  • Assist in planning and establishing improved methods for storing materials and parts, and maintain required personal certifications.

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

  • Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.

  • Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.

  • Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.

  • Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.

  • Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.

  • Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications:

Relevant experience can include academic qualifications, military service, or other industry-related roles.

  • 1 + years' experience using basic math (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).

  • 1 + years' experience using scheduling and ordering inventory/supplies.

  • 1 + years' experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.

Conflict of Interest:
Successful candidates for this position must successfully complete the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Typical Education & Experience:

High school graduate or GED preferred.

Pay: $24.32/hour, with potential to earn up to $53.30/hour in accordance with the terms of the relevant collective bargaining agreement.
