We are currently seeking an experienced EESubs Electrical and Electronics Subsystems Manager to join our dynamic and experienced Electrical and Electronics Subsystems team in Brazil.

The selected candidate will lead engineering teams responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, and certification of electrical and electronic subsystems across Boeing commercial airplane programs, including the 737, 787, 777-9, and future airplanes. These critical roles will lead teams in delivering robust subsystem solutions, supporting hardware and software integration, and ensuring alignment across multiple airplane systems and stakeholders.

This person will be responsible for engineering leadership and oversight of the following systems: power generation, power distribution, proximity sensing systems, interior and exterior lighting, cardfiles, and electrical load analysis.

The position includes responsibility for developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, setting operational goals for the team, and acquiring the financial and technical resources needed for successful program execution. This role also includes a significant level of mentoring, developing, and motivating direct reports.

Candidates applying for this position should be comfortable providing both technical and project leadership for Boeing employees and suppliers, while also leading process improvement initiatives and applying modern methods to manage team workload, priorities, and resources. The ability to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports is a key attribute for success in this role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage a team of Engineers in the development, validation, verification, integration and certification including.

  • Be responsible for overall planning, execution, and success of complex projects.

  • Partner closely with suppliers to establish project plans and manage team execution.

  • Maintain resource and skill forecasts to meet project and daily operating requirements.

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical tasks in the areas of the BCA Airplane Systems engineering.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.

  • Coordinates engagement with BCA engineering counterparts located at USA sites: Charleston and Puget Sound.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, including budget and staffing.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Computing or Mechatronics).

  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).

  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.

  • Experience of Electrical engineering.

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.” 

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Experience in the development, integration, and verification of electrical systems.

  • Master’s degree in an engineering related field or Business Administration (MBA).

  • Experience in requirements management and system safety assessment/functional hazard assessment methodology.

  • Experience working within a regulated industry.

  • Experience with or a desire to learn and implement more Model-Based Engineering (MBE) / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. 

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil.  

Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil.
