Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Product Review Engineer - Structures Fleet Support (Experienced, Senior or Principal) to support our Airframe Customer Support Engineering, located in Seal Beach, California.

As a Product Review Engineer, you will play a critical role in resolving structural issues for in-service aircraft, providing expert support to end-users in a customer-focused environment. You will collaborate closely with the Aerospace Integrated Product Team (IPT) to develop and document structural repair dispositions and ensure all data meets Boeing, customer, and regulatory standards for continued airworthiness and mission readiness.

This is a great opportunity to provide Airframe Customer Support to the McDonnell Douglas (MDC) Fleet. The aging MDC airplanes provide development challenges working directly with the airline customers. The candidate will work tasks from the team's extensive workload of daily repair dispositions, researching past issues and ensuring the safety of our fleets. This is a unique experience to apply your years of MDC experience to keep the airplanes flying and learn from very senior engineer engineers that are willing to teach and share their decades of knowledge before their retirement.

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced, Senior or Principal Product Review Engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Applies knowledge of MDC design principles to assess and resolve product/process issues through the product lifecycle.

  • Analyzes, conducts root cause analysis, and develops dispositions for structural non-conformances and damage.

  • Applies engineering principles to research technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customers, and designs interim and final engineering solutions.

  • Identifies, analyzes, and documents reported problems, and communicates deviations that could impact design intent and safety; recommends and manages resolution.

  • Develops and implements product/process improvements.

  • Supports Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participates in design reviews.

  • Represents the engineering community in the build through post-production environment.

  • Ensures compliance with Boeing standards.

  • Develops non-destructive test procedures, tools, and standards.

  • Conducts simple static strength analysis.

  • Willing to support a 24/7 on-call rotation schedule and the ability to work variable shifts, including weekends or overtime.

  • Willing and able to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally.

Work Authorization Statement: 

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at our Seal Beach, CA location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • LEVEL 4: 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • LEVEL 5: 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5 or more years’ aerospace engineering experience.

  • 5 or more years’ of experience in structures engineering.

  • 3 or more years’ of experience working with MRB (Material Review Board) activities related to aircraft structures.

  • Engineering leadership experience.

  • Experience supporting end-users in a customer service role.

  • Experience working transport category airplane certification or production/fleet support projects involving FAA approval.

Pay & Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range:

  • Experienced (Level 3): $111,350 - $150,650

  • Senior (Level 4): $135,150 - $182,850

  • Principal (Level 5): $165,750 - $224,250
