Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Transportation focused leader to support 24x7 Logistics team in Seattle, WA.

This role supports Enterprise Transportation and Logistics across all business units critical to the supply chain health, enabling production, and meeting various program needs. The Leader will provide support to their team in driving optimal solutions utilizing contracted carriers for all modes of transportation while balancing schedule, cost, and strategic growth initiatives. Must be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays. This position is expected to be 100% onsite

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working in logistics or transportation 

  • 3+ years of experience communicating with senior managers and executives, customers (internal and external), business partners / suppliers / subcontractors, and government representatives 

  • 3+ years of experience leading teams and supporting cross functional organizations 

  • 3+ years of experience managing ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced collaborative environment

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree 

  • 3+ years of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership 

  • 3+ years of experience working with freight forwarders, specialty/charter carriers, and/or transportation service provides across multiple modes: FTL, LTL, International and Domestic Air Freight, Ocean, Small Parcel 

  • 1+ years of experience with import/export compliance and regulatory agencies

Summary Pay Range:

$115,000 - $142,000
