The Opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia is looking for an experienced of Configuration & Data Management Technical Lead to drive a dynamic team of Configuration and Data Management Specialists. This opportunity is for someone with demonstrated Configuration & Data Management leadership. We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with a positive can-do attitude and experience working with modern digital Product Lifecycle Management tools in a defence/aviation environment.

This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley.

As a Configuration & Data Management Lead at Boeing you will.

  • Establish and continuously improve Configuration and Data Management processes and training to meet business, regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Plan and execute configuration and data activities for the team to support operation of the platform and customer requirements.
  • Manage product data, technical baselines and perform effective change management.
  • Implement and maintain the controls necessary for data to meet security, trade control and intellectual property requirements.
  • Establish, monitor and report on system health key performance indicators.
  • Effectively interface with project team members and our customers to support the operation of the platform.

To be considered for the role:

  • Strong communication skills, organisational skills and ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities with attention to detail.
  • 5 years' experience in a similar role preferred and/or experience leading a team in a defence/aviation/technical environment.
  • Experience in the application of Configuration and Data Management in a regulated environment such as DASR, CASR, TAREG or TRAMM-L.
  • Configuration Management training / certification, or willing to complete formal training.
  • Experience in managing configuration of products in a Digital Engineering / Product Lifecycle Management system.
  • Related trade or engineering qualification highly regarded.
