Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) division within Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Workforce Planning Program Manager to join our dynamic team in Arlington, VA; Berkeley, MO; El Segundo, CA; Houston, TX; Huntington Beach, CA; Huntsville, AL; Seattle, WA or Titusville, FL.

This is a newly formed leadership role that will play a transformational role in shaping our future by ensuring we have the right talent aligned with our strategic business objectives. This role will lead division-wide workforce planning initiatives to support our mission. The position will collaborate with sub-divisions, program managers, functions (including Human Resources), and enterprise teams to forecast workforce needs to optimize talent deployment and drive programs to enhance workforce agility and capability (systems, tools and process).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads the comprehensive design and execution of workforce planning strategies to support current and future business demands through a matrixed organizational structure in alignment with our company values and behaviors

  • Partners with senior leaders and HR analyze workforce data, identify talent gaps, and develop actionable plans for recruitment, development, and retention to maintain our competitive edge

  • Manages complex, cross-functional workforce planning process and tools that align with our operational and strategic goals

  • Utilizes analytics, modeling, and forecasting tools to provide insights that inform leadership decisions on workforce capacity and capability

  • Communicates workforce planning strategies, progress, and outcomes to executive leadership and key stakeholders

  • Understands program budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and effective delivery of workforce planning initiatives

  • Mentors and develop team members and stakeholders on best practices in workforce planning and program management

  • Ensures compliance with Boeing’s policies goals throughout workforce planning activities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years’ experience in workforce planning, program management, or related roles

  • Experience in workforce analytics, talent management, or strategic workforce planning methodologies

  • Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional programs in complex organizational environments

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Human Capital Management (HCM) software (e.g. Workday & Adaptive Planning)

  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, manufacturing or other large industries

  • An active U.S security clearance

  • Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g Tableau, Power BI)

  • Experience preparing and presenting to all levels of leadership

  • The ability to influence and drive changes in a dynamic, matrixed organization

  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certified or equivalent program/project management experience

  • Experience coaching, guiding and leading teams

  • Exposure to digital transformation or operational technology implementations

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills

Work Location:

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 15% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: USD $180,200 – $261,050

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
