Position Overview

Boeing India Engineering is currently looking Associate Propulsion Fuel Analysis Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, Karnataka. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) and Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organizations.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration and shall work with the Engineering Manager, Project lead to Analyze Fuel Properties and evaluate the supplier quality issues related to JET-A Fuel and support the development of cutting-edge technologies in terms of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Research and Development of Fuel Properties of various JETA fuel compositions.
  • Provides thorough Analysis and report out of studies related to fuels analysis.
  • Develop new processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of customer service support
  • Communicates with stakeholders and Customers on a regular basis.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or higher is required as BASIC QUALIFICATION.
  • Experience in EPR and NMR spectroscopy.
  • Experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratory included failure analysis, material characterization, and instrumentation development.
  • Experience in Liquid chromatography, gas chromatography and thermal Analysis Techniques (DSC, TMA, TGA).
  • Thorough knowledge of ASTM Standards ASTM D1655, D7566 and D4054.
  • In Depth knowledge of Aircraft Fuel Systems and Fuel Analysis.
  • Basic Knowledge Aircraft Propulsion Systems.
  • Must be willing to stretch and support to meet the needs of the customer.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communications and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working with Fuel System Requirements - 14 CFR Part 25 regulations.
  • Experience in Fuel Requirements for Flight Operations (14 CFR Part 91 & Part 121)
  • Basic Understanding of AC 150/5230-4C, Aircraft Fuel Storage, Handling, Training.
  • Experience with fuel properties calculations.
  • Basic understanding of root cause and corrective action process
  • Experience working transport category airplane Fuels systems.
  • Knowledge of Data analytics and awareness of programming languages like Python etc.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education – Masters and preferably PHD and typically 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position offers relocation within INDIA.
