Boeing Test and Evaluation is seeking a Flying Test Bed Test and Integration Engineer to be based in Berkeley, MO in support of the 757 Flying Test Bed team and related test activities.

The 757 Flying Test Bed (FTB) is used as a flying laboratory to test new mission equipment and software before it is implemented in the fleet. The test and integration engineer role s responsible for leading coordination between the customer program, the maintenance and logistics team, and Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) management.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Experienced and Senior Level Flying Test Bed Test and Integration Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate flight test requirements with responsible engineers from internal and external customers, to include aircraft modification and de-modifications requirements and timelines, FAA certification requirements, spares, logistics, and maintenance requirements, etc.

  • Plan, coordinate, and maintain the configuration of test assets

  • Deconflict and manage flight test, ground test, and maintenance schedules

  • Identify and coordinate the availability of test ranges and facilities with company and government agencies

  • Report test program status to BT&E management

  • Prioritizes personnel and system safety

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 1+ years of relevant technical experience in a combination of aviation safety, systems safety analysis, safety management system, ground test, flight test, aviation operations or test hazard analysis in a commercial and/or military environment

  • 1+ years of experience communicating with technical experts and explaining difficult technical concepts to non-technical business users

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Active Security Clearance

  • Experience in an engineering lead role

  • Experience in maintaining engineering schedules

  • Experience with aircraft modifications, upgrades, or retrofit projects

  • Experience in Aircraft Maintenance and Aircraft Operations

  • Hold a pilot license or pilot experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 2): $79,900 – $108,100

Summary Pay Range for Experienced (Level 3):  $95,200 – $128,800

Summary Pay Range for Senior level (Level 4):  $113,900 – $154,100
