Boeing is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Front-Line Production Engineering Manager to support the Air Proprietary 1 Program in Berkeley, MO.

As one of the most cutting-edge aerospace programs in the industry, the Air Proprietary 1 Program is at the forefront of innovation and technology, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in aerospace engineering.

In this pivotal role as Production Engineering Manager, you will lead a dynamic team of Manufacturing, Tooling, Numerical Controlled (NC) Programming, Liaison, and Industrial Engineers, driving efforts to define, stabilize, and improve the production system for the Air Proprietary 1 Program.   By leveraging your expertise and innovative thinking, you will guide your team in identifying inefficiencies, developing robust solutions, and implementing process improvements that enhance productivity and quality ensuring customers’ needs are met. This role not only emphasizes technical and leadership excellence but also champions a culture of continuous improvement, empowering your team to achieve operational excellence and deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in Production Engineering.
  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures.
  • Create and lead a team to execute tooling and model-based instruction (MBI) release curves.
  • Set operational goals and acquire necessary resources for projects and processes.
  • Provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Oversee and approve technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Manage, develop, and motivate employees to achieve high performance.
  • The ideal candidate will excel in both the engineering technical acumen/excellence required for this role while being an engaging and motivating people leader, including committing to:

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Experience leading or managing engineering teams.
  • Experience in assembly, automation, and/or production support.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry, particularly with military or defense programs.
  • Knowledge of Boeing's organizational processes, program plans, and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability in budget management and business process improvement.
  • Familiarity with critical path methodology and project leadership principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with structural repair principles and systems thinking.
  • Existing Valid US Security Clearance.
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of management, customers, and partners.
  • Ability to build a safe environment of inclusion, transparency, and trust.
  • Leadership skills to lead and influence positive outcomes.
  • Previous experience in leading, mentoring, and engaging individuals and teams.
  • Experience providing active mentorship and career guidance.
  • Can up-level existing team by hiring high performance talent, growing leaders and helping underperforming members.
  • Can gain trust of team and provide guidance for their careers.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $129,200 - $174,800
