Boeing Global Services – Government Services (BGS-G) is seeking a mission-focused Senior Market Development Specialist to lead Go-to-Market Launch & Program Enablement for government sustainment solutions. This role uniquely blends corporate consulting, business development, and strategic planning with a strong emphasis in Marketing and Product Development within the government services sector.

This position will play a critical role in driving growth initiatives, shaping go-to-market strategies, and enhancing product offerings to meet evolving government customer needs. The successful candidate will be a proactive, action-oriented professional with a growth mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity while delivering measurable business impact.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional analysis and strategic growth initiatives to identify, evaluate, and capitalize on go-to-market opportunities within government services markets.
  • Collaborate closely with business development & strategy, engineering, and finance teams to develop and refine strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and market trends.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Support the development and execution of external marketing campaigns and communications that effectively position Boeing’s government services offerings to target audiences.
  • Drive the identification, validation, and implementation of new or enhanced business models and product/service offerings to address underserved government customer needs.
  • Support proposal development and customer engagement activities by delivering data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Support the monitoring of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to anticipate market shifts and proactively adjust strategies.
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and business cases for senior leadership to facilitate informed decision-making and investment prioritization.
  • Apply project management best practices to lead integrated teams and ensure timely delivery of growth initiatives.
  • Lead end‑to‑end fielding, launch readiness, and sustainment integration for government programs, including advanced inspection capability integration.
  • Develop readiness playbooks, training/certification plans, and operational test/acceptance processes.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional handoffs from capture to delivery and ensure regulatory compliance for UAS/inspection operations.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in business development, marketing, strategy, or supplier management within aerospace, defense, or government services
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all levels
  • Experience working collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment managing multiple priorities
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 10-25% to support business and team needs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • MBA or advanced degree
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
  • Proven ability to analyze complex business challenges and develop actionable growth strategies
  • Experience with digital product development lifecycle, go-to-market strategy, and launching new products or services
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, market research methodologies, and strong project management skills
  • Growth mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-changing environments

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $109,650 - $158,700
