Job Role

Are you passionate about safeguarding digital landscapes from evolving threats? Are you eager to gain hands-on experience in the ever changing field of information security? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Security Intern.

With this position, you will have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the exciting and ever-changing world of infosec while working alongside a teams of experienced professionals who are committed to securing our digital future.

Specific Responsibilities

As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will be an integral part of our cybersecurity team, supporting various initiatives to enhance our security posture. This internship program is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, practical experience, and exposure to various technologies. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring and Analysis: Assist in monitoring security alerts, logs, and managing incidents. Analyse telemetry to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Vulnerability Management: Collaborate in vulnerability assessment and remediation efforts. Work with stakeholders to prioritise and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Security Processes: Contribute to our security processes, identifying potential improvements and work with wider functions to improve the overall posture of the business.
  • Security Tools: Gain hands-on experience with various defensive security tools and technologies used in the industry.
  • Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, including data collection, analysis, and documentation.
  • Research and Development: Assist with special projects that will improve the security of the wider business.

Typical Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in a cyber-security related field.
  • Strong interest in cybersecurity and a desire to build a career in the field.
  • An understanding of security fundamentals.
  • An understanding of core enterprise technologies such as Active directory, Linux etc.
  • Understanding of adversarial attack patterns, vulnerabilities and TTPs.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience with Splunk Enterprise.
  • Experience with automation/scripting.
  • Hands on experience with security challenges, capture the flag’s etc.

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
