Boeing Global Services – Commercial  is looking for an Associate Procurement Agent (Level 2) to join our team in Dallas, TX

The Procurement Agent will focus on supporting our Spares Order Management team. The Spares team request for proposals based on a set of requirements, solicits the supply base for compliant and competitive proposals, negotiates costs and ensures on time delivery of Machined Parts. This team is also responsible for order placement, adjustments and cancellations as required to support the business.  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for researching, sourcing, evaluating and processing orders to purchase services, supplies and equipment based on price, service, quality and warranty to meet customer needs.

  • Performs continuous review and analysis of demand and supply, optimizing execution of the supply chain while balancing inventory, supply orders and schedule demand.

  • Prepares and executes proprietary information agreements.

  • The candidate must possess strong business acumen, communication and problem solving skills.

  • Proactive engagement with various disciplines and program stakeholders is required.

  • Supports the sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements.

  • Gathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities.

  • Spares pricing and lead-time negotiations.

  • Collaboration with other internal teams to gain process efficiencies and meet the needs of our internal and external customer’s requirements.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)

  • 3+ years of related work experience

  • Experience with basic ERP system functionality, SAP or similar tool

  • Experience in negotiation

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment - such high volume transactional purchasing

  • Experience with interacting directly with suppliers regarding contract requirements and/or proposals

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • Able to travel 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • APICS Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM)

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field of study

  • Experience in procuring after market spares components, including sheet metal parts

  • Sheet metal commodity experience

  • Experience working in a distribution business environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple competing priorities

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range: $60,000 - $85,000
