As a Atlassian System Engineer, you will help build and administer projects and elements within JIRA and work with Millennium’s information technology department to maintain the health of JIRA and coordinate maintenance and upgrades when necessary. Millennium uses Atlassian JIRA and other Atlassian products as a program management tool in addition to aiding in software development. You will also be the main point of contact for any usage questions or training needed for Millennium’s users.

This position's internal job code is Software Engineer. Our team is currently hiring for a level 4.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain projects, workflows, issues, permissions and more in JIRA to support Millennium program and team requirements

  • Monitor the health of Millennium’s JIRA servers and other Atlassian tools and ensure minimal downtime and maximum data availability

  • Plan and build multiple JIRA environments for development and testing in addition to production and performing data migrations as necessary

  • Assist users in the usage of JIRA and other Atlassian products and provide small or large group training when necessary

  • Prepare and maintain documentation on the design and usage of Millennium’s JIRA and other Atlassian products

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of JIRA and general Atlassian product administration experience

  • 3+ years of general web application administration experience

  • Programming experience with Python, Java, SQL, JSON, and Groovy

  • Experience with modern web application administration

  • Experience with GitLab or similar version control tools

  • Experience collaborating and working diverse teams to determine needs and goals

  • This position requires an active U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)  

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience administering other Atlassian products such as Confluence

  • Experience in an engineering or aerospace environment

  • Experience with process improvement

  • Experience with being an Administrator role delivering Application Services in an Enterprise environment.

  • Comfortable with Linux and general server concepts: Patching, Storage, Networking, and Apache web

Summary pay range: Level 4: $130,900 - $192,500

Millennium is DDTC-registered, ITAR-compliant Company. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance. Additionally, applicants must be willing to apply for and maintain a security clearance.
