Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Propulsion Engineer (Level 2) - Project Engineer to join our Wide-body Propulsion team based in Everett, WA.

As an Associate Propulsion Engineer - Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving our projects to success. We are looking for a highly organized and motivated engineer like you, who has a familiarity with certification, production, and engineering processes. Your proficiency in project management tools will be essential, and you will have the opportunity to effectively communicate complex ideas through presentations and other mediums to both engineering and program leadership.

In this role, you will be responsible for securing support from external organizations, including suppliers, fabrication, and manufacturing, to meet our program objectives. You will leverage your ability to assess objectives, chart a strategic course, and utilize your proven leadership skills to guide your team toward the successful completion of projects.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports definition of requirements for propulsion systems, auxiliary power systems and vehicle fuel and tank systems.

  • Supports definitions, coordination and control of the functional and physical interfaces between the propulsion system and the vehicle.

  • Supports development of specifications and architectural and configuration concepts for associated vehicle systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.

  • Supports design of propulsion sub-systems and components to meet all vehicle design and performance criteria.

  • Supports use of various testing, analysis, modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance.

  • Supports definition and performance of certification tests for propulsion sub-systems and components.

  • Supports fielded systems to assure continued reliability and airworthiness.

  • Supports development of concepts for future propulsion systems to meet anticipated requirements.

  • Works under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 1+ years of experience in systems engineering and systems Integration.

  • 1+ years of experience in Project Management.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of Propulsion Engineering experience, including Engine commodity and Fuel Systems.

  • Experience in Change Management, Part 25 certification, and flight testing.

  • Experience working with suppliers.

  • Experience in Microsoft Projects.

Pay and Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range : $81,600 – $110,400
