Boeing Global Services is seeking an experienced, mission-focused Field Operations Quality Manager to lead Quality Assurance Representatives in support of customer requirements at various military installations. This is a hands-on leadership role partnering with Operations, Program Management, and the customer to ensure aircraft safety, regulatory compliance, and mission readiness. Position can be located in Hazelwood, MO., Jacksonville, FL., JB Elmendorf Richardson, AK., MCAS New River, NC.,NAS Whidbey Island, WA., or San Diego, CA.

This role is ideal for a seasoned quality professional who thrives in a military support environment, enjoys mentoring teams, conducts DCMA and AS9100 audits, drives problem solving with recognized methods, and uses metrics to continuously improve performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a team of Quality Assurance Representatives to deliver first-time quality (FTQ) in processes and products while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

  • Manage daily execution of the Boeing Quality Management System (QMS) across field locations supporting multiple platforms.

  • Plan and execute DCMA 8210.1C/1D and AS9100/ISO9001 audits and assessments; drive effective Nonconformity and Corrective Action processes.

  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for quality issues; de-escalate concerns and coordinate corrective actions with customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Apply formal problem-solving methods (RCCA, root cause analysis, human factors considerations) to resolve complex quality events.

  • Collect, analyze, and report performance metrics to measure project and team success; translate data into actionable improvement plans.

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with Operational functions, Program Management, DCMA, PMA, SPO and customer representatives to align quality objectives with mission needs.

  • Support Safety Management System (SMS) initiatives and emphasize aviation safety practices, FOD control, and tool control.

  • Assist senior management with operational planning, process improvements, and Quality Assurance strategy for field operations.

  • Model Boeing Values and Behaviors in all interactions and decisions.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience)

  • 5+ years' of experience managing / supervising in Quality, Engineering or Manufacturing supporting AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) or industry / regulatory compliance

  • 5+ years’ of experience in aviation or aviation related activities

  • 3+ years’ of experience with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Instruction 8210.1

  • 5+ years' of experience in using project management methodologies, including developing project plans, performance management, and managing issues and risks

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 3+ years' of experience interfacing with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)

  • Demonstrated expertise in Quality Assurance/Quality Control and Risk Management.

  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and team leadership skills.

  • Proficient in formal Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) techniques and application of human factors principles.

  • Familiarity with Safety Management Systems (SMS), FOD prevention, and tool control programs.

  • Experience collaborating directly with DoD and DCMA customers.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $104,550 – $162,150

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
