Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Maritime and Intelligence Systems (M&IS) seeks Audiovisual Service Technician to join the Mission Systems Operations team located in Herndon, VA to support end users and customers, AV engineers, AV installation technicians, and other team members.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Daily onsite on-call AV system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair for issue resolution.  Ensure maximum issue resolution in minimum time to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Event support including setup, installation, in-meeting assistance, break down, and post meeting support.
  • Preventative maintenance and daily AV system and conference room checks to ensure high levels of operational readiness.
  • Resolution of AV room and AV system technical issues by communicating with the Client’s AV Engineering team as well as Boeing Engineering and on-site support teams.
  • Serve as liaison between Boeing Engineering Teams and client to move forward on client requests, room upgrades, and issues.
  • Work with the Engineers and Service Technicians to support the operation and maintenance of all components of the System's environment.
  • Complete training programs from manufacturers, industry associations, and companies to keep up to date on products, services and systems.
  • Troubleshot issues with technology and AV equipment and repairs.
  • Support system infrastructure Operations and Maintenance (O&M).

This position requires an active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance with current Counterintelligence Polygraph (CIP) (U.S. Citizenship Required).  (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of related work experience for level 3.
  • 5+ years of related work experience for level 4.
  • Willingness to upgrade from CIP to FSP (Full Scop Polygraph) or already have a current Full Scop Polygraph (FSP).
  • Must be able to travel to various job sites as needed.  Current, valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs up to eight hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel.
  • Ability to climb ladders at heights up to 15 feet and stairs on a regular basis.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Formal education in Electronics or related field.
  • AVIXA CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification.
  • Manufacturer certifications or experience in (Biamp, QSC, Cisco, Crestron, Extron, Thinklogical, ...).

Work Shift:

This position is for first shift but may require occasional compensated, ad hoc support after hours.

Summary Pay Range:

Level 3: 108,800 – 147,200

Level 4: 129,200 – 174,800
