The Boeing Company is looking for an Entry-Level Test and Evaluation Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This position is in support of the Space Launch Systems (SLS) program Core Stage (CS) and Exploration Upper Stage (EUS) vehicle avionics subsystem qualification and Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) test efforts.  Job roles and responsibility will include the development of test procedures to perform rack level, integrated hardware and system level verification and validation activities including test execution and reporting activities.  In addition, the role will be responsible for test execution primarily in the Huntsville area including Marshal Space Flight Center, Boeing and Contractor facilities.  Some short term travel may be required to Boeing Titusville FL facilities and to NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility and or Stennis Space Center.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Participates in gathering and analyzing requirements for test measurement systems

  • Assists in the development of test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition to perform the test within the constraints of the test plan

  • Develops solutions to calibration systems problems

  • Performs data analysis, develops and utilizes data processing tools

  • Designs simple component level hardware or software

  • Uses analytical tools to verify the design

  • Verifies collection of complete data set

  • Maintains test logs, prepares simple test reports and archives data

  • Works under direct supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • Cumulative 3.0 or higher GPA  (Please list your cumulative grade point average (GPA) clearly on your resume)

  • Experience with previous internships and\or research and development projects

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in hardware rack level, system level and/or software test procedure development, test execution and reporting

  • Experience in Space/Satellite systems

  • Experience in Avionics and electrical ground support equipment

  • Experience with technical writing and/or process documentation

  • Experience with formal hardware and system level testing

  • Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts

  • Experience with engineering tools: Microsoft Office tools (Access, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio & Word) and Wind chill

  • Strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, be customer-oriented, positive, flexible, detail oriented, and a strong team player

  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software integration issues

  • Experience with developing test procedures from requirement sets

  • Hardware and system level test execution and reporting experience

This role is primarily first shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.

Summary Pay Range: $68,000-92,000
