The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Reasonable Accommodation Specialist to join our Health Services organization in Mesa, AZ!

The selected individual for this role will have a serve as a specialist on all matters related to all aspects of the reasonable accommodation process. This successful candidate will be a self-starter, have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to form relationships throughout the enterprise. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Administer, coordinate and document the activities required for employees and applicants requesting reasonable accommodation due to a medical need

  • Facilitate the interactive process with managers and employees to address individual needs, workplace accommodations, and compliance requirements

  • Engage appropriate resources and provide assistance in the acquisition, and implementation of accommodation solutions

  • Consult, coordinate, and partner with Health Services, Human Resources (HR), Safety, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, team members and other departments/systems as appropriate

  • Administer and document the reassignment process for employees who are unable to perform essential job functions

  • Oversee and provide case management for complex accommodation cases and provide risk-mitigating solutions, advice, and guidance in compliance with company policies, processes, state and federal regulations

  • Maintain system records to ensure accurate and timely information/documentation

  • Serve as internal consultant on complex matters related to all aspects of the reasonable accommodation process

  • Support and participate in the Enterprise Reasonable Accommodation Focal network meetings and provide guidance to Enterprise Reasonable Accommodation Focals

  • Respond to inquiries via the Accommodation Services customer service line

  • Provide consultative services, education, training and technical assistance to employees, management, Human Resources Generalists, Boeing Health Services, Reasonable Accommodation Focals and other resources regarding company policies, processes, and state and federal regulations pertaining to the area of reasonable accommodation

  • Support Global Talent, Diversity and Inclusion organization in the development of training, tools, and procedures, and evaluation of the health of the reasonable accommodation process

  • Maintain and protect medical confidentiality

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience providing consultation and training on reasonable accommodation and disability issues to employers, managers, Human Resources, and other employee groups

  • 3+ years of experience in the administration, including case management, of reasonable accommodation process and disability related (e.g. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)) laws, policies and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Possess one or more of the following Human Resources certifications: SHRM, PHR, or SPHR

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Shift Work:

This position is for 1st shift.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $68,850 - $100,050
