The Space, Intelligence, & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT) team is seeking Systems Engineers, Associate, Experienced and Lead levels to join the team in either Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF), Louisiana or Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Florida. Systems engineers apply common products, processes, and tools in pursuit of programmatic objectives. The selected candidates will design and develop state-of-the-art systems for various defense & space customers. The candidates will demonstrate the ability to provide high impact, creative solutions to complex technical problems, the ability to work as part of a large team, and the ability to provide critical support and independent review of the work of teammates.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works collaboratively to apply common products, processes, and tools to plan, design, develop, and verify complex systems across the lifecycle  
  • Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
  • Performs various analyses to optimize the total system of systems and/or system architecture
  • Participates in the identification and resolution of cross-functional technical issues
  • Participates or leads trade studies to assess technical, cost, and schedule impacts
  • Participates in Risk, Issue and Opportunity (RIO) Board and/or Engineering Review Board (ERB)
  • Responsible for supporting new business/proposal activities
  • Ensures contractual compliance to the statement of work (SOW)
  • Participates in the development and flow down of requirements
  • Forecasts and tracks requirements compliance activities
  • Participates in the generation of responses to Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) from the customer
  • Participates in planning and execution of program reviews (e.g., Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review) and applies Boeing command media to ensure they satisfy all entrance/exit criteria

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • Associate, Level 2: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Experienced, level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Lead, level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in manned space flight and/or weapon system design, development, or test

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range, Associates Level 2: $ 81,600 - $ 110,400

Summary Pay Range, Experienced Level 3: $ 97,750 - $ 132,250

Summary Pay Range, Lead Level 4: $ 119,850 - $ 162,150
