Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Associate Fabrication Specialist (Level B) to join the Emergent Operations Team to support the Machine Shop in North Charleston, South Carolina on Variable shift! 

Candidate selected for this position will be responsible for operating 5 axis CNC machines to fabricate various aluminum, carbon, and fiberglass fillers and deburring.  Apply now to be on the best team in Boeing!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Follows detailed verbal and/or written instructions, reads and interprets moderately complex blueprint drawings and specifications to set-up and machine items to fabricate out of sequence emergent production parts and fillers as required using manual and CNC machines.

  • Develops and revises Machine Control Data (MCD) and geometry.

  • Assists other machinists in completing job responsibilities.

  • Performs machine set-up, machining,  part bending and fabrication tasks.

  • Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements.

  • Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must be willing and able to work any shift. 

  • 1+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing.

  • 1+ years of experience working in an agile work environment.

  • Being able to lift up to 35 lbs., Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs., Occasional carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, walking, standing, balancing, frequent reaching overhead and at or above shoulder, frequent sitting.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of CNC experience.

  • 1+ years of experience with the 787 Program.

  • 1+ years of experience with systems to perform work (SOS, CMES, Velocity, REDARS).

  • 1+ years of experience in a team environment.

  • 1+ years of experience in a role with Team Leadership (Formal/Informal).

Typical Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

This position is for variable shift. Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation of the need.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $50,600- $54,450.
