Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Associate Quality Systems Specialist (Level 2) for the 787-program located in North Charleston, South Carolina.

The Associate Quality Systems Specialist will receive specialized training to act as a Delegate (proxy) for the FDA in performing FDA airplane certification inspections.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assists in review of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements to prepare quality assurance plans and tests for hardware and software products, processes and services.
  • Maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed using established procedures.
  • Collects and verifies data to support the identification of root cause routine problems.
  • Provides ideas and concepts for corrective action development.
  • Supports quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers' ability to meet program quality requirements.
  • Assists with hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Documents audit results in standard formats.
  • Compiles data and provides recommendations for material review disposition.
  • Works under general supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 3+ years of experience analyzing data and generating metrics reports.
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • 3+ years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 787 Program Experience
  • Experience as an FDA Program Administrator, FDA Delegate, mechanic or quality technician accomplishing FDA-sensitive installations/inspections
  • Experience working with a regulatory agency
  • Experience building relationships with customers, program offices, subcontractors, and product organizations.
  • Experience in outlining requirements with customers.
  • Experience developing project plans for completion of work scope between multiple customers and resources.
  • Experience developing and presenting presentations

Typical Education & Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.)

Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation is need.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.   Summary pay range: 67,150 – 90,850
