Boeing’s Next Generation Product Support team is seeking a talented and highly motivated Mid-Level DevOps and Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic development team in Plano, TX. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) digital and analytics government and military business. The program oversees the strategy, processes, people, investments, and the development of a broad portfolio of digital and analytic tools sitting on common cloud-based platforms.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong foundation and solid understanding DevOps principles, cloud computing, and automation practices with a passion for technology, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing and enhancing our infrastructure, improving deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our capabilities and services in the cloud. As part of the team, you will execute a wide range of complex tasks leveraging cutting-edge software technologies that define the future of digital and analytics solutions for our customers.

Position Responsibilities:
•    Design, implement, and manage modular cloud-based infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
•    Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices
•    Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security
•    Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
•    Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements
•    Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs 
•    Automate deployment processes and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
•    Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
•    Maintain and improve configuration management and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

•    5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or a related role.
•    4+ years of experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with relevant certifications.
•    Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation tasks.
•    Understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and best practices in cloud environments.
•    Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and automation frameworks.
•    Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
•    Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

•    Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
•    1+ years of experience in the Aerospace industry.

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Travel:  10% or less

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range for Associate Level:  $112,200 - $151,800
