Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Space, Intelligence, and Weapon Systems (SIWS) Precision Engagement Systems has an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Weapons Guidance & Control Flight Engineering Senior Manager in Saint Charles, MO.

SIWS is a growing weapons business with multiple ongoing and development programs serving the US Air Force, US Navy, US Army, and international customers. This leader will be part of a larger Flight Systems Engineering Capability management group residing in the Precision Engagement Systems organization and will manage a multi-disciplinary technical team of Flight engineers in the advanced design, development, demonstration, integration, and fielding of missile and weapon systems for a variety of domestic and international customers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Flight Engineering including Guidance & Control, Aerodynamics and/or Propulsion.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 5+ years of experience working directly in the Flight Engineering discipline (e.g., Flight Controls, Aerodynamics, or the Boeing specific occupation code “6E”).
  • Experience with design, development, test, or operation of Aerospace Vehicles or subsystems/units

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Advanced Engineering, Math, or Physics degree.
  • Related technical experience in Guidance & Control, Aerodynamics, or Propulsion.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management, managing suppliers, air-launched weapons, ground-launched weapons, managing complex technical development activities, and exposure to systems engineering requirements derivation and validation

Summary pay range: $154,700 – 209,300
