Boeing Global Services is seeking C-17 Manufacturing Manager who will lead the Paint Team for the Heavy Maintenance and Overhaul C17 Program. Position is located in San Antonio, Texas.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • This new leader should be experienced with large aircraft modifications and be proficient with aircraft paint processes

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.

  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.

  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  Do you meet this requirement?

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience working with aircraft maintenance and/or modifications

  • 1+ years of experience painting aircraft or aircraft parts

  • 3+ years of experience in leading teams and team development

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace Manufacturing Operations and/or manufacturing support

  • 3+ years of experience implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies in a manufacturing environment

  • Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • QMS – Quality Management System

  • Safety Guiding Principles

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $96,900 – $131,100
