The Boeing Company’s Enterprise Portal Services organization is currently seeking a Senior System Design & Integration Specialist to join the team in Seattle, WA; Berkeley, MO; North Charleston, SC; or Seal Beach, CA

Join us in an exciting role where you will support the HCL Digital Experience platform, encompassing the MyBoeing Portal, Supplier Portal, and B2G Program Portal! This cutting-edge technology creates an innovative, collaborative, and dynamic work environment that empowers users across the enterprise.

As a centralized gateway, the portal enables users to easily access information, applications, tools, and resources all in one place. It also offers a user-friendly website building solution, hosting a growing number of portal sites that allow various groups and organizations to present and share web content. These portal sites enhance communication, improve data access, foster collaboration, and help organizations operate more effectively and efficiently.

In this integral role, you will ensure the success of the portal and deliver a rich web experience for users. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and experience with web-based platforms, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and the Enterprise Portal team. Please note that general support and administration of existing production and non-production environments may require occasional off-hours on-call support.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the highest level of service to Portal customers across the enterprise, interfacing with key stakeholders to support their work in the design, development, deployment, and management of portal websites, and in the use of portal tools and processes

  • Lead teams, facilitate meetings, and coordinate activities as the liaison between the business or function and the Portal Service to understand requirements and priorities and work with portal development team to produce technology solutions that support business objectives

  • Work closely with portal customers and stakeholders to understand problems, answer questions, troubleshoot and resolve problems, evaluate improvement opportunities, and ensure service excellence

  • Develop test plans and conduct functional and usability testing to ensure portal system and/or components function according to requirements, and to sustain overall reliability and performance

  • Define and support portal and portal site security administration and processes, portal websites with enhanced controls (United States only), and the coordination and management of custom portal security groups, in compliance with Boeing security requirements

  • Define, develop, and maintain communications, presentations, processes and procedures, comprehensive customer/user training (online and videos) and system documentation

  • Provide guidance and coaching to less experienced teammates

  • Implement Agile practices to support portal work projects and manage backlog, priorities, and status of commitments

  • Lead and support the initiation, development, and deployment of features/stories that deliver portal improvements and business value

  • Work closely with leadership and Portal Services team to evaluate and continuously improve the portal service

  • Assist in defining the roadmap and strategic direction of the portal service to ensure that the expected service quality is delivered and maintained

  • Support marketing and communication planning, coordination, and implementation to support awareness and adoption of portal features, capabilities, and business value

  • Drive the use and growth of the portal by helping business partners understand the capabilities and benefits of the portal and portal sites 

  • Conduct research and analyze metrics and data to facilitate effective service monitoring and performance

  • Assist in developing, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing metrics data to support analytics requirements

  • Develop conclusions and recommendations based on the analysis

  • Provide general project management and process improvement support as required, such as creation of project schedules, key project milestones, and project status reports

  • Coordinate work plans to align with project goals and timeline targets

  • Facilitate project planning and implementation activities

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with HCL Digital Experience or similar web-based content management system

  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role providing website support and consultation

  • 5+ years of experience conducting group training sessions and creating top quality online help documentation and videos

  • 5+ years of experience with functional test design, test execution, test results analysis, and documentation

  • 5+ years of experience working with customers to elicit and define requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in usability and design in web development

  • 5+ years of experience editing images for websites

  • 5+ years of experience managing projects and leading cross-functional teams

  • 5+ years of experience working in an Agile software development environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • Experience with SAFe Agile methodologies

  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO)

  • Experience in website development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $120,700 – $174,800
